I have been fortunate enough to study with some wonderful teachers.  Below are the clarinetists (in chronological order) who have influenced me as a clarinetist, a musician,
and a person.

Hakan Rosengren, California State University, Fullerton

Dr. Bartley's primary teachers include Elsa Ludewig-Verdehr, Robert Marcellus, Harold Wright, Stanley Hasty, Peter Hadcock, and Keith Stein.

Under the inspiration and guidance of Hakan I improved tremendously during my two years of "post graduate" study .  Without his teaching I would certainly not be the musician or clarinetist that I am today.

Hakan's primary teachers include Mitchell Lurie, James Kanter, and Walter Boeykens.  Please read his biography.

Linda Bartley, University of Wisconsin-Madison

From Dr. Bartley I learned some very important approaches to embouchure and hand position--things that changed my playing for the better and made playing the clarinet a whole lot more enjoyable! With Dr. Bartley's support through the entire DMA process (and afterwards) I was able to begin the next phase of my journey: becoming a professor myself.

I earned my D.M.A. in Clarinet Performance at UW-Madison.

Andrea Splittberger-Rosen, University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

Dr. Rosen was my undergraduate clarinet teacher, and she gave me a solid foundation on which to grow as a clarinetist.  She has continued to be a strong advocate for me as a professional musician and educator.   I earned my B.M. at UWSP.

Dr. Rosen's primary teachers include Elsa Ludewig-Verdehr, Keith Stein, Frank Ell, and Stanley Hasty.
