Composers who have written duets for KrenzelDoggett
Nikola Resanovic(The Ox and the Lark)

Charles Savage(Mad Rush to the End...)
This duet was written for and is dedicated to Cynthia and Thomas Krenzel- Doggett. Mad Rush to the End…was first premiered at Mt. St. Joseph’s College in Cincinnati, Ohio on April 30, 2002. It received its’ second performance at the School for Creative and Performing Arts in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Mad Rush should be performed with speed and accuracy, yet the two performers should be willing to have fun as well. The basis for the composition is the B-A-C-H motif that has been used in many compositions over the years. I was trying to create a new, yet fun approach to the idea. One of my favorite pieces of music, growing up was the Harry James version of “Flight of the Bumblebee”. And yet, I also listened to rock and roll. Everyone’s favorite group was the Beatles (it seemed anyway). During an animated version of a Saturday morning show of the Beatles, the character George Harrison thought something had sounded like “flight of the Bumble Brain”. I always remembered that phrase. That’s how I want people to listen to the piece.
Mad Rush has been performed in multiple concerts in Ohio, West Virginia, Arkansas, and Society of Composers conferences.
